Wayfaring Stranger
#1
Hi there Big Grin I love mixing this song. Wished there were more jazz songs like these, and would love to hear Spektakulatius make more songs :>

Here's my mix. I'm kinda worried if there was too much bass, but i need a second opinion to judge my mix. Suggestions and critiques are appreciated. Wink

Polishing turds is not a type of business that you want to frequently do.

Here's the version 1 of the mix also Smile Tell me which is better in delivering a good sound.

Stay tuned, then, because I'll be uploading a couple more of their tracks over the coming months...

I like version 1 better. I think the ambience is better than the first one. In both versions you should automate the de-esser because sometimes her sibilance is too strong and sometimes she lisps.

I prefer version 1. juanjose1967 is absolutely right about the de-esser. Words such as "stranger" in the first verse sound almost like lisp. I believe there is too little bass (I mean the actual instrument, not low frequencies). I like the saxophone sound in the beginning though.

I agree with others, version 1 is smoother and more balanced. Actually very nice mix.

In version 002 on can hear too clearly the articulation or saliva in singers mouth.
