No vocals, no mix There are some questionable balance decisions here and there, but nothing that couldn't be fixed in 10 seconds. Overall this is a good start, but without the vocals it's hard to say anything useful about this mix. The vocals will ultimately make or break this song and I wonder if you have to change a lot of the mix decisions when you introduce the vocals into the mix.
My biggest problem: A typical listener/fan of this type of music (including me as the artist) would expect a different snare sound - this one is a bit too distorted, has too much reverb and sounds detached from the rest of the kit. A lot of mixes on this forum have a similar problem. Check the FAQ for more info: http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showt...p?tid=8507 Also, the snare sounds like a machine gun in the blast beat. That's just not how you would mix a snare in a part like that. Why you ask? Because a drummer usually can't play a blast beat with the same punch as a normal part. It's too fast to hit the snare with the same energy. As a mixer, you have to either use a much lower snare sample velocity (if you have 100% replaced the original snare) with OR bring up the fader of the original snare and reduce the volume of the sample. The goal is to make this part sound natural and not like a machine gun or drum computer. Unlesss the drummer was a genius and can make the blast sound like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B4KNXi-SWWc Again, please check the FAQ for more info: http://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/showt...p?tid=8507 Good work so far - hope that helps, Dirk

Thank you for hearing my mix I am working on the vocals right now. I will revise your points and return with a new version of the mix. Thank you again.

Ok I've added the vocals (with some personalized effects).
So I also made the snare thinner and shine. Then I touch some levels, specifically the reverb plug. Enjoy...
