I thought this would be an easy and quick snack before doing something more difficult. But I was so wrong. This was a very difficult job for me. At first I just couldn't make the band go with a steady and smooth country beat. Although I already had given up once for some reason I decided to try again. So here it is.
I wanted to try a very old style country sound with Hank Williams as a reference. But as the singer had so much reverb printed to track I had to go with slightly more modern touch. Still the basic idea is very retro: only one thing at a focus at a time, and others just supporting.
The bass is maybe too compressed now. I feel it doesn't suit otherwise acoustic sound. But it might take too much time time to manually fix it. So maybe it's time to move on to new challenges.
