My First Cambridge-mt Mix.YAY!
I love the song and wanted mix it in my own "open" sounding style. The Lexicon and waves plugins work absolute wonders here. The live sound i was going for really complements the song and the singer.
My idea was to create the sense of being inside a large machine (box) with warm reflections bouncing off the walls which come back and hug you. The singer is the Cog expressing how he feelings. I feel like i've captured it, tell me what you think.
Im happy with the way it turned out considering it was done on my MacBook Air, using my Sennheiser IE8's on a train. Should i take the time to mix and master again on my studio rig? tell me your thoughts.
