Francis Dunnery & Dorie Jackson: 'Holiday'
#5
Agree last statement. I know that voice/guitar problem havin lived with it most my life
The solution is in how you look at it. One mic is the other mics extra mic, so the excersise is to find a balance where they blend and sound natural.
About the guitar bleed on voice track: wise decision you didnt try removin it. If you duck the guitarspill on voice track you will most likely create a big guitar while vox is on and smaller when voice is silent. Compressin them difrently can also create weird sounds. That is if compression is necessary. My approach to mixin this were get as far as I could with phase nudges, pan, verb and balance. Then eq and no comp at all.

Old ears, old gear, little boy inside love music and sounds and my wife, not necessarily in that order
