It is important knowing what you're listening over. I mixed this only over boxes and didn't even put the cans on. I know it's wide in the mix from the panning and treatment I did (I'm a glutton for separation!), so it's likely the can's are exaggerating the 180 degree spread of your space compared to my own 60 degrees and phantom centre.
That's not an excuse, I should have made allowances and at least checked it quickly, especially after all the work I did. I probably need to make a compromise and pull the soundstage in a little on the sides which would help headphone peeps without negatively impacting the box crews. This would also automatically address the center channel vox probably without even having to touch it.
I'm out of the "office" 'cos it's POETS day, but will check it on the weekend.
