Thanks for the comments! I agree 100% on this, I feel like the beat is lost, and the focus is really off. Kind of too smooth you know?
So this morning I went and put a Demi Lovato track as a quick reference and HOLY CRAP! theres a ton of lows in there. Got me thinking, maybe I trimmed too much of the lows out? So I loaded my original mix before I butchered everything and maybe its not so bad? Maybe mastering can fix it up? So i'm loading that here, maybe Ill try a little mastering on that and see what that does.
