Thanks for the perspective guys. It just occurred to me after I posted 'of course, the vocal problems are different from verse to chorus!' Hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I know I can get a lot more out of the drums, and yes there is some mush and junk floating around in the bottom end. Hopefully I'll get around to a v 2 sometime, and something more fine-tuned, because it is a rewarding one to mix.
