I might do that lowpass for the guitars if I have time, though it might also be the reverb. The guitars are actually a weird thing- I noticed the same fuzziness myself when using my computer speakers. They sound perfectly normal with my both Yamaha HS8 and Genelec 8020A but when listening through my gaming machine setup, it indeed sounded like no cab, haha! Go figure!

PS: In case you want to check out what I had in mind, I was mostly thinking in the lines of the first Emperor full- lenght.

I can see what you're getting at, the old sound is fun to toy with but I can't stand to listen to most early black metal. The modern sound I like more because it doesn't sound neutered and matches the extremity of the music, I'm also more of a Death Metal fan so that should explain my reasoning.

What amp did you use in Bias anyway, the tone actually had definition and isn't making the trem picked stuff mushy?
Mixing is way more art and soul than science. We don’t really know what we’re doing. We do it because we love music! It’s the love of music first. Eddie Kramer
