Don't think the kick is too puffy (in my opinion), many times the kick in metal is too much in the front and sounds like smashing a drumstick on a high pressure skippy ball....
You have created diversity in this mix and thats harsh to realize while the nature of metal is not too much dynamics and you managed it though
I find you did a great job.
