@pauli....Thanks for your input....kick in mix_02 was a little boomy. Probably an over compensation on my behalf from mix_01 being too light. Hopefully this update finds the sweet-spot
Re guitars in mix_02....I left them pretty much as is....HP is set at 130 to retain low end growl/warmth and to blend (but not encroach) with bass that's taking up 80-120 hz real estate...which is way lower than i would usually set it...usually I'm up nearer 180-200, especially if there are other competing mid range instruments like keys etc....which coincidentally is where the guitars were set in mix_01 and again......was too light.

Increased kick HP from 40 to 60hz. (@takka360...I did try 80 out of interest but was it starting to sound a bit clickety-clack and i lost my nerve). Also increased slope of bass HP from 6db (can't remember why so low) up to 12db. HP filter itself left at 60hz
