I guess there's two ways to approach this particular song -- to rework it as a punchier number with sparser arrangement and create a dynamic build through the verses/drop -- or leave the dense layered arrangements in place and mix more as atmospheric electronica.
Quite a few others have mixed punchy takes (including the release the band put on youtube). My version is rather simpler; I loved the vocals and felt they carried the development of the song. Just changes to relative levels on the stems, vocal effects/EQ left as is, added a small touch of reverb, a character compressor and limiter across the 2-bus -- then printed it.
Not sure if that makes me particularly lazy today ... but my "mix" is attached. This felt closer to mastering -- something I profess to have no proficiency at!
