nice one!!!. nice opening. I have almost finished mixing this one, so will be uploading soon.
The reference track has been compressed to a flat pan cake leaving little dynamics range which is not to my taste, therefore my critique is looked at from the perspective of a more open mix.
My first thought. kick drum needs more click to fit genre and to cut through Guitars, moreover the kick sub is too much and makes the sound drag the sub not needed as guitars and bass handle the lower elements.
I like the vocals , B.v get lost at times. boost 400 to 500 k on guitars and only cut up to 120.
I would have liked less lows on the snare .

Thanks for the comments, much appreciated.

Not sure if the reference track is too compressed, it was the roominess of the reverb I wasn't sure about.
