At the beginning of mixing process my idea was to apply the least amount of compression on this mix, so I decided to put it where I really need to.
I used some compression on kick and bass to give some content on the low end. Then for acoustic and electric guitars only used with fast attack and 2.5:1 ratio to control a bit the 'hurting' transients that they may have. I also applied a bit on snare to give a little of presence when it starts sounding.
Finally for vocals used the same method I use in my other mixes, two compressors, one with slow attack and other the with fast attack. Also used a de esser here.
No compression on master bus.
So it was an experiment of a 'dynamic mix'. Also I didn't use automation. I only did panning automation at the beginning of the song with the chorus. Let me know what do you think!![Smile Smile](https://discussion.cambridge-mt.com/images/smilies/smile.gif)
