Come Around Mix - fabiozerbetto - 26-01-2015 Hi guys, I tried to mix the song "Come Around" and this is my mix. Give me your opinion, wrong things, errors and things to do for improve my mix. RE: Come Around Mix - laurieharrison - 01-02-2015 Sounds nice! A few things: - The panning in the chorus seems a bit strange, in that the stereo spread is much narrower than in the verse - that seems the wrong way round, and makes it seem like the song loses energy as it transitions from verse to chorus. There are a lot of guitar tracks to play with in the chorus, so easy to have a nice wide stereo image. - The lead vocal on this track sounds really good, and could be a bit higher in the mix. - The drums sound very good, but maybe a little bit too much reverb? RE: Come Around Mix - fabiozerbetto - 11-02-2015 Thanks for the reply laurieharrison. I feel the same from the verse throught the chorus. The guitar stereo image is too narrow. I did some mistakes in the mixing about levels and panpotting. About the Lead Vocal level in the mix, this is what i need to improve. There are some dynamics and in the verse it's lower than in the chorus. I had to use an automatism. I'm not very able to use reverbs on drums. I used a room reverb with 30 ms delay. In the verse it's too much, but in the chorus it mix with other sounds and vanish. How i can threat it? |
