A backroom in Tulsa is where it all begun! - CaptainKouts - 31-08-2014

Greetings to the forum. This is my mix on Wesley Morgan's song "Backroom in Tulsa". I've also done a pseudo-mastering but I didn't know if I was supposed to, so I uploaded both files.

I'm here to learn so any input is welcome, tell me what you liked and what you did not.

thanks in advance!

Good vibe, and good sound..
In my system it's a bit..muddy, maybe lacking a few HFs
Maybe a few automation moves could make it shine too.

I like it Smile

Cheers Smile

Maybe a little more reverb than needed too. Thanks for feedback, much appreciated! Big Grin

The mastered version sounds a bit over-cooked. Also, I think the sound of the first electric sounds a lot like the bass and as a result steps on each other a bit. Other than that I like your choices. I like the way to voice stays out front as the song builds. The end out is a bit clumsy.
