a little help in mix here? - naiming - 26-07-2014

hi guys, i'm just starting to learn to mix songs,
i have the raw track of all souls moon by james may,
one question,
what are the effects to make the backup singer's voice like the one below (the original track from james may)? i have tried a lot of different effects but still can't get it...

I can answer that. It's just reverb. It starts out as pure wet, then the proportion changes as more of the dry vocals are mixed up. The reverb was a Softube TSAR-1 EMT vintage plate.
Good luck with your mixing.

omg, i'm so glad that you reply to me, Mr James

one more question,
did you just used reverb on the lead voice as well? or any other effects you used?

Lead vocal is just reverb (the same EMT plate), a very little bit of EQ, and some compression. I can't recall which compressor at the moment.
