My take on "Ambitions" - MyopicNick - 14-07-2014

Here is my go at it, I think it came out pretty well. I had fun experimenting with the vocals to get them to be more lively. Let me know what you think.

Hello

Nice mix.
The vocal reverb sounds really small and some how doesn't fit to the mix.
There might be too much processing in your master. It is pumping really noticeable.

your mix is very compressed and distorted. Can you post another version of the song without compression/distortion on the 2-buss?

the guitars in the second half need more eq treatment.

Thanks for the feedback!

Here is an updated mix with a number of changes. I did go and change the vocal processing. I had it running through a stairwell IR, hence the strange reverb. This is also pre-mastering, I'm more confident mixing than mastering. Only a touch of compression and limiting on the master bus to keep it from clipping.
