Forkupines: 'Semantics' - The Big Soup - Robalinho - 02-07-2014 Here it is.. Chalenges... have a good snare without killing everyone with Hi Hat.. Sort out the soup of "not that tight" guitars. I would like to see pictures of the mic positioning for these drums, it would help my learning... I can see that almost all other people's mixes have more mids than mine... I start wondering about my speaker's accuracy... is my mix lacking mids in your opinion?? THANKS! RE: Forkupines: 'Semantics' - The Big Soup - sano - 02-07-2014 Interesting effect on the drums at the start and great overall balance. I like your guitar sounds, with enough clarity and power to drive the song along. Great job there. You mention about the lack of mids in your mix. I thinks there is a bit less upper mids but not unusually so, to me it just the tone of your mix. RE: Forkupines: 'Semantics' - The Big Soup - Robalinho - 02-07-2014 Thanks!!! RE: Forkupines: 'Semantics' - The Big Soup - axe45 - 05-07-2014 Some mids missing for sure. I like the drums and the top end but that could be related to the fact some instruments having less midrange frequencies. Having a professional mix as a reference will help when it comes to frequency balance. RE: Forkupines: 'Semantics' - The Big Soup - Robalinho - 09-07-2014 I just re-mastered it, is it any better? was it too much? What do you think? Thanks!! |
