Good stuff man..
this session is deceivingly more challenging to mix than what the reference mix reveals.

How did you manage to pull out the toms from the overheads.. ?
Myself, I used an Aural Exciter.

Thanks for the kind words, Marc.

Done on Pro Tools 11. For the overheads, it was just simple subtractive EQ to get rid of the major 'highs' and achieve (as near as I could get it) a natural sounding balance between the highs and lows. From there, I used a UAD2 Fairchild 670 to gently thicken the bottom end. Nothing heavy - just a light touch is all that was needed.
