Storm Of Particles: 'Of Ice And Hopeless Fate' - Pas84 - 27-10-2023
Hello everyone!
here is my mix. Some notes about what I did:
- acoustic guitars: processed with Helix HX Stomp: I used a real acoustic guitar impulse response (blended 30% with DI track) then combined with in-built Helix acoustic simulator eq, then equalised the resulting sound with a graphic eq to tame 16kHz and some of the low-mid frequencies (if you like it and want more info, feel free to ask)
- snare: has been blended 80% with a sample. Rest of the drums are original.
- electric guitars: re-amped with my EVH 5150 50w through Helix HX Stomp
Regarding the song: I honestly think whoever wrote it has got HUGE songwriting skills. I was not expecting to find something as original as this hidden gem. I listen to a lot of metal but it's getting harder and harder to find stuff that stand out from the crowd... well done Storm of Particles!
