Cold Sweat - Mixinthecloud - 17-04-2023 This song had challenges for me. Thrash and metal are not in my wheelhouse. But the challenges were fun and the recording and performances good. What I attempted to do was to squarely delineate verse from chorus which was easy based on the content. Getting each section to work together took some effort especially as I wanted the song to have a start and then go somewhere which I tried to do with my automation. There is a good amount of mid-side processing on instrument busses and a good bit of widening in mastering. This first mix is not loud. Not in the beginning. The mix comes in at -14 LUFS with peaks at -0.5 or there-abouts. Standard streaming levels. Don't be afraid to turn it up. Thanks, mITc Mix well and Mix often |
