MikeMetal mix... - MikeMetal - 22-03-2023

Hi!

I just want to share my mix here... Blush

RE: MikeMetal mix... - Peppermark - 24-03-2023

thanks for mixing, mike!!!

i see you went for a more "natural" vibe. i do like that.

your snare sounds very good, witch is 80% of your mix done, but i do have some nitpicks, if you want to improve your mix:

- try turning down the effects about 2-6dB, they're pretty loud.

- try softclipping your mix until you hear the snare is more "glued" to the mix. you can aso try to use tape saturation to do that.

- your guitars sound good, but sometimes they sound harsh. to counter that, use saturation on the guitars until you hear an effect very similar to clipping. that means the saturator is generating a more "creamy" high-end using the mids as reference. you can also saturate quite heavily and and blending in the unprocessed sound.

- in the 3:36 part, try to turn down the gain of the guitars. they sound too aggressive for the part IMO.

- try turning up the main guitar solo up a bit.

hope you enjoyed my track!!
