Dunning Kruger: 'Japan Song' - dryfat - 26-02-2023 hi there, i like this band. here is my approach for this song. RE: Dunning Kruger: 'Japan Song' - Drummer Craig - 27-02-2023 First I've heard it, listened on my Sennheiser's while gaming. My years of drumming and a song like this can be real trouble to my ears. Not once did I flinch, squint or want to turn it down. How on earth you were able to keep the clarity/edge without going over is to me, a rare and fantastic skill. I thoroughly enjoyed it. Great job IMHO. RE: Dunning Kruger: 'Japan Song' - dryfat - 27-02-2023 Hello Drummer Craig, thanks for your feedback. I'm really glad that you like my mix. I also have to commend Mike Senior - he recorded the band in a living room (!), giving us the best possible recording regarding the circumstances. This gives me hope that one day i will be able to record my band well, without having to book expensive studios. I got the transparency in the mix by heavy gating on the drums and lowcuts on other signals (apart from the bass). I also used a very little equalizing, but clariphonic, AR-1 and pusher from kush audio on almost all tracks. 2bus have includes DDMF Deatheye and JST Clip. |
