simplemachine: 'Unbroken (I Remember Everything)' - pdhart90 - 15-01-2023

Hey everyone!

After a good few years away from this, I have come back to it and made an attempt at this track.

Please let me know what you think!

Cheers,

The balance is pretty good....I can hear the kick punching through. Thats good!

The vocal seems a little thin and its pushing through a little harshly...maybe you pushed up 1-4k pretty hard?

I would love to get some more out of that bass...have you ever tried the REDDI by Kush? To add some harmonics? Or adding some sub bass? I really like the JJP bass plugin or the CLA Bass plugin. Usually I just use the CLA Bass parallel and the part I use is the chorus, distortion and Sub bass. I think that would bolster the low end of your mix a lot.

For the master buss, I think if you used the Fab filter pro Q and pushed up the side channels at 6-7k shelf and then pushed up just the mid channel at 200k shelf you would get a little better dimension too the mix too.

Overall, not a bad mix!
