My take of No Limits - hobbyist - 26-10-2022 Hi guys! Here is my take on this. I hope you like it! As always, any comment, criticism or opinion is welcome. Cheers! EDIT: V2 - some tweaks - One hit of the snare at the begining - Guitar on the second verse - Several changes in the end. RE: My take of No Limits - SonicTramp - 29-10-2022 Very nice mix. I like the weighty kick/bass, sounds quite modern. I can hear the bass but wish for more oomf spreading down there anchoring the mix, especially the kick. The kick sounds beautiful in the intro but drop out (0:10)as soon as the power guitars come in. The kick lost the attack. Perhaps the guitars hit the limiter too hard pulling everything down including the kick/bass. The mix also has some sibilant, I'd venture around 2-4.5kHz. Mostly coming from the guitars and the hats, both by itself adding to the one already in the OH. I think you can afford to cut some off. Hope it helps. And thanks for the time you spent on my mix earlier. Cheers! RE: My take of No Limits - hobbyist - 29-10-2022 Hi SonicTramp! Thank you for take the time to listen and comment on my mix. It's always very helpful to listen with ¨another ears¨ and get feedback. I'll give it a second listening paying attention to the things you mention. Cheers! |
