Nice song, not nice toms - Krabbe - 22-10-2022

The song's nice, but man, I do not fancy the toms ... at all! Well, no one ever goes home humming the toms, so I suppose we'll live Wink

I've listened to some of the other contribs, and man they sound awesome. Now, I did notice that there seems to be a general "consensus" that one should apply loads of comp on the master. Now, I didn't do that. Also, I've folded the vocals a bit more into the mix ...

There are some craxy phase-things going on here and there, just can't seem to locate the orgin of these ... WTF?!

Also the lows are killing me. Too much and you'll drown in low-end build up, and too little and you'll get a speaker-sounding mix. I'm not sure that I've found the right balance ... but, well, I suppose this is where I decide to land this.
