My Mix of Get Out of Bed (feedback welcome) - JEMixer - 01-03-2022
This was a cool song. I wanted it to hit hard with a modern polished sound but also have a dirty sound as well. So I augmented the drums with samples and fully replaced the toms. This was to have that more "polished" drum sound.
The guitars were sounding good on their own and I used the DI to add a little more umph with some amp sims.
The vocals I intentionally made to sound like a megaphone, taking some inspiration from the provided track.
I did see research behind the band and found out they are just kids! WOW! They are definitely good!
Overall, this was a FUN track to mix and to just listen to overall.
Any feedback would be GREATLY appreciated and also of you have any questions about the mix, just lmk!
