"Dying Light" by Imp Act - davemcg61 - 21-02-2022

This is a cool a song, at least as great the previous 2 I worked on from this band. The drums were done with the Empirical Labs Arouser, which is a Distressor plug-in, on the group bus. Comments always welcomed.

Hi Dave! I liked the drum mix at the beginning, the snare has a good presence, but it seems to me that the synths are way too high in level compared to the rest of the track and do cover all the rest of the instruments (same with the orchestra at the end, it overpowers the drum and guitars).
You might try to rebalance the levels and I would also recommend some general EQ to create more space between the various instruments.
Peace,
Alex

Agreed, Alex. I made some changes already in the first section to bring the synth lower, to the background. The latter minute or so brings the orchestra down a bit and the ending guitar up quite a bit. It may still have some work to get the drums  present when the orchestra enters. Let me know.
