FytaKyte "Life Gets In The Way" Mix - Robefrstudios - 04-01-2022
My attempt at mixing this track. Stupidly bounced my first upload in mono but luckily I spotted it!
Had fun mixing this track. The main area of difficulty for me was getting the picked guitar through the chorus to sit in the mix but I think its reasonably close.
Anyway have a listen and let me know If you have any feedback and I would be happy to do the same in return. Thanks!
*UPDATE - After listening to my initial mix with fresh ears I thought it was a bit harsh in the high mids/top end and lacking some weight.
In this revision I rolled back some of the high mids on the guitar tracks and vocals and routed all elements except the drums to a bus with a ssl bus comp and blended it in for a it of added weight and also pushed my main mixes compressor a little bit more.
