MekaPhil: 'Timeless (Part 2)'

Very tricky one, probably needs some adjustments with fresh ears, the vocals definately need more work

First off, I'd like to thank you for doing a mix! And second, I would agree. The second upload made a HUGE difference. Overall, there's a few tweaks I'd make.

1) This is a very busy track. There's an upper midrange honk in the synths that gets in the way. That's definitely a challenge when dealing with a track like this, so I get it.
2) Everything seems to be kinda aggressive in the upper mid (2k to 4k). The vocals sound really good though, so I don't think I'd change much about them except maybe the levels. Once you clean up the upper mid region on this track, the vocals may be too loud proportionally.
3) Everything has a place and you clearly have a good sense of levels and imaging. That's good! The only real issue is that because of the honkiness of the snare and the synths, they kinda clash with each other.

So honestly, it's a good mix that's just plagued by some upper midrange issues. Clean that up and it will breathe SO much more.
Also, there's a lot of room for high end to come up. The air above 16khz is what makes our tracks shine so much! Smile

Thank you for your mix, and I hope that helped. Feel free to take my opinion with a grain of salt.
