Never let you go - Umanahdavid - 30-09-2021 Hey guys, this is a my mixdown of 'never let you go' RE: Never let you go - Lucas Alber - 30-09-2021 Hi! Some immediate thoughts: - Vocal is too loud in comparison to the rest, feels very dry, that delay makes it feel like it was recorded in a small room - Some ambient instruments are missing in the second half of the verse - The hat stands out a bit too much - The riser in the buildup is very bass heavy - Chorus - Loses energy in comparison to the verse. - The kick is too low, the bass too high - The main synth is missing - The first hit is unbalanced to the right - Toms are too loud - That added synth in the second verse does not really fit Some of these points are just personal preference :) I would primarily work on the general balance of the instruments and the vocal. Currently, the mix feels very muddy. RE: Never let you go - Umanahdavid - 03-10-2021 Thanks for the feedback, you really have ears for sound. You pinpointed the major things i did in my mix. I mixed this song to my preference and it sounds good to me especially the bass. Looking forward to posting a new mix with the corrections you suggested. |
