Nerve9_LivingLie_mix,mastered_by_Eric - Eric DJ Shin - 25-05-2021 Thanks!! RE: Nerve9_LivingLie_mix,mastered_by_Eric - ThomasStevenson - 10-07-2021 Hi Eric - thanks for mixing our track ! A few comments as I listen through 1. intro guitar vibe - nice - like the effect. I feel a bit of vocal masking though - perhaps some MS carve out of the guitar center to give more space to the vocal? Or reduce the guitar level a bit. 2. I like the vibe you are going for - when drums come in - could the snare attack be a bit fast? I seem to be wanting a bit more transient cutting through. 3. Nice overall balance 4. the cymbals feel quite bright next to the overall kit presentation - just an observation - the cymbals feel the most forward as a result - maybe contributes to my snare comment above 5. Cool bridge treatment ! 6. Kick level in balance a bit low (?) 7. high end on lead vocal - is this cut back a bit? I think easing off on this will help the vocal cut through/showcase a bit more 8. like the bass guitar balance a lot Thanks again for mixing our track and sharing ! I hope some of this is helpful. Thomas RE: Nerve9_LivingLie_mix,mastered_by_Eric - Eric DJ Shin - 12-07-2021 Hi Thomas! Thank You for the advice. It helps a lot! I made different stereo image for intro guitar, fast attack snare, cymbals and kicks balance, increased high end of vocal. Please listen. Thank You! |
