Nearly There - Rapscallion - 29-04-2021 Hey guys, here is my mix of Nearly There. I am relatively new to mixing so looking for whatever feedback you have. It's obviously a really broken down song and I decided to lean on the original sound quality of the acoustic and cello. I tried to leave in a lot of the picking and the bow from the cello. However, with the vocals I did altar the sound a little to try and make it maybe a little more interesting than the original recording. That's more of a style choice than anything but it has to pay off if you are going to do it. Hopefully it did. Let me know what you think. RE: Nearly There - Krabbe - 27-05-2021 Hi Very nice job. As such there is nothing wrong with your work. I, however, do not agree with your choice of vocal processing, as I believe it belongs to a completly different genre. However, this is not a technical issue, but more of and artistic choice, which means that your guess is as good as mine. Weel done, keep it up |
