Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - juanjose1967 - 29-01-2014 Here's my mix of this song. It didn't take me long to mix and that made me feel hesitant about the result. But as always, you're the experts and can tell me how to improve it and make it sound better Thanks in advance! RE: Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - thedon - 05-02-2014 Hi Juanjose ! Having a listen to your mix I like it ! Listened on headphones and the bass and kick sounds great and the kick beater cutting through nicely The guitars sounds a touch harsh around the 2.4 area ! The background vocals at 1.08 and 2.11 sound soft and could come up a touch ! listening on monitors the mid bass sounds a touch heavy around 150 to 250 hz (which Could be me my room boosting mainly the 150 Hz area )? and a touch more bottom end on the kick ! Haven't downloaded the multi tracks RE: Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - sano - 05-02-2014 On the whole once again a nicely balanced mix. I would like to hear the drum a little fatter though. The chorus guitar from 1:05, while you've made it stand out, which is great, it seems a little over done to me but it's a hard balance to achieve. It's also left side heavy and pulling the mix in that direction perhaps centring it more would sound better and thats what my ear is picking up on ? RE: Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - juanjose1967 - 05-02-2014 Thank you, guys! I've changed what you've suggested: -bgvocals are 2db louder in the parts you mentioned -I've added a little bit more bottom end to the kick -I've also changed the guitar situation and it's more centered now. -I checked on the bass, and I notched out some frequencies around 250hz - and finally, there's some saturation on the drums to make them sound fatter. So I hope it sounds better now RE: Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - sano - 05-02-2014 Good job sounding much better now !! RE: Bobby Nobody - Stitch Up - thedon - 06-02-2014 Great ,Sounding much better !
