Revelations (edited) Mix - herrturtur - 28-01-2014

Hey,

I muted the organ in the verses (mostly) and I tried a "vintage" approach. Please tell me how you feel about the mix Smile

RE: Revelations (edited) Mix - herrturtur - 02-02-2014

I changed a little bit of the drum compression and EQ and I've tried to thicken the guitars with parallel compression + changed some of the vocal mixing.
I fear the whole mix might be pumping unsteadily because of the sum compression..i might have to check that again.

what do you guys think? improvement or not? thank you!

Just listened to the second version only. It sounds good to me. I like the balance and the sonics of your mix. The only thing i can hear is that it is sided to the left, left is constantly louder than the right side and when I play it in mono the right side is buried by the left.

Thanks for sharing.

Why not just bring the bass up & thicker?
And maybe a lil' less compression?

Overall, I liked this mix. Everything seems to hang together nicely with the possible exception that the vocals are a bit wet
