You and me and the radio - Nice song - Vitor Pavan - 21-01-2014
This is a very cool song, remind me of Queen and U2 in some passages.
I tried to get a huge sound on that Chorus, so I doubled the vocals, put a chorus in a stereo copy of the vocals, in some parts I did a second voice with waves tune. Used some reversed reverb fx to give more tension before the chorus comes in.
I found that drums a little bit hard to mix, because the snare doesn't come up with life, dunno what mic they've used but didn't like that choice, it's so dark and thing, but I used a lot the room channel, which I have squashed with an CLA 2A. Did some parallel compression on snare drum too.
I think is that, any feedbacks are welcome!
