WAVES MIX - JOSAOJO - 17-01-2021 Took a shot at mixing Waves. I imagined this track to be something a band would record live at a radio station and I approached the mix from that perspective. I thought the violin and the electric guitar were the strongest performances so I tried to wrap the mix around those tracks while keeping the vocals up front. I also kept the mix pretty narrow which gave it a lo-fi/oldie feel to the overall mix as it got very thin when pushed wide. I didn't attempt to fix the timing or replace/trigger any parts, i also did not tune the vocals. I tried to give the mix a lively/live in the studio sound. Would love any notes/feedback. Thanks. ~ JOSÃOJO RE: WAVES MIX - kapu - 20-02-2021 hi! i think the sound of mix correspond to your description, so youre spot on there. perhaps some multiband suppression/narrow equing for vocals around upper mids? great work! ^_^ |
