Equilibrium - Shul - 22-12-2020

my first take.

v2: more subtle cut around the 3-4k area just enought to get rid of that annoying air on the guitars. It should be slightly brighter tone.

I think all of your highend is gone? Also transients in drums feels very burried and distant.

Might have cut too much 4k on guitars
But I don't believe it's that bad to say top end is gone.

Didn't really used that much compression on drums so I'm sure the transients are there maybe you'd want more volume on it?

RE: Equilibrium - Shul - 23-12-2020

better guitar tone on the 2nd one

Just realized the sub freq are a disaster :/

RE: Equilibrium - takka360 - 24-12-2020

I think that the drums is where you have the problems. Not transcients. Maybe too much attack on compressor or relase too slow. This is a monster song, so the drums have to sound like a monster! jajaja

Yes i think mainly it is the kick that can come up in volume, maybe even boost some lowend. It was hard though i know because of those really fast playing passages, doesn't really work all the time to just eq. The second mix is alot better imo.
