my take on Run Run Run - Bruno Corrêa - 21-12-2020

Did this one in a hotel room last weekend using headphones. Just checked in speakers back home, sounds good to me. What do you think?

Chill!

mannn that kick drum is cutting through beautifully

I really like how you processed the vocals, nice and bright!

Strong mix here in my opinion. I think the snare is a little to hot and should come down in volume a hair

Cool review, Stevenrruz, thank you!

I'll spill the beans! ; ) Most of the kick shaping was done using Brainworx's Focusrite SC console. Then there's some surgical eq to further clean mid lows and two stages of somewhat soft saturation.

Concerning the vocals, it's all about Slate's Fresh Air (dumb simple but extremely effective - and free!) followed by oeksound's Soothe 2 to tame the harshness.

The snare... It was all about fun. Think I was going for a dub music vibe but I'm really clueless about it.

Thanks again for taking the time!
