I just love this little tune!! Great musicians and singer/s. The Latin/Latin Jazz/Afro-Cuban music genre is my absolute favorite!!! I wish there were more of this genre here to mix. This was a fun project to mix, and while there were challenges, I am very happy with the end result. I wanted a nice, bright, airy mix with a full sound even though the instrumentation was quite spare compared to other songs like this, i.e., much more percussion going on, etc. I used a beautiful convolution reverb that put this band in the Hansa Studios in Berlin, Germany. Also, the Cuatro playing the Montuno is just awesome!!! Who needs a piano to play the Montuno when you have THAT!! Love it!!! Well, I hope you enjoy my mix....spent a LOT OF TIME on it. Your thoughts, comments, welcome.  Big Grin
Tom

Very different and interesting mix. Didn't see that coming at all. I like your vocal and the reverb you have on it, but I think it could use a little less. The snare doesn't sound the same anymore. I like the metallic sound it has; that's part of what makes your mix bright. I like bright mixes but I get ear fatigue after a few listens. Cheers!
