Sounds are good but the vocal really needs to lead here. It is a jazz vocal performance by Cyril Aimee, not her ensemble.

I probably would do that with the instruction. I did this one a little quickly with no automation, but my intent was generally to make this sound like a live performance, where the voice would likely be at a lower level than the louder instruments. At least, that’s my favorite type of mix for this style.
