Hi!
It's common to mix with a reference song in mind... I mixed this beautiful Selwyn Jazz song with a Michael Bublé song as a reference.
Mix challenges: too much snare drum on the piano mic, too much ride on all mics and the bass has a lacking low end that emphasizes the mids and needs a lot of automation.
