my take on Saudade do Teu Beijo - Bruno Corrêa - 26-10-2020

Tried to bring a vintage mojo to the verses with subdued highs, no kick to the bass drum and a dreamy touch to the guitars using heavy modulated reverb. Both these elements contrast with the chorus, where the highs come forward, more movement happens with doubled lead voice and other sonic elements that are typical to brazilian funk aesthetic, with a drier overall sound. Also attempted to do something fun to the slap bass in a busted speaker reference (achieved through bit reduction) as I felt it was kinda lifeless for what I envisioned.

What do you think? : )
