Mix - Colour Me Red - Juninho Ferreira - 23-09-2020 ----------- Mix RE: Mix - Colour Me Red - Roy - 23-09-2020 It sounds OK. Everything feels balanced and there's nothing much to complain about. That said, overall it could be more exciting. It feels very safe. It's a good start but could come up a level. RE: Mix - Colour Me Red - Juninho Ferreira - 23-09-2020 Thank you very much for your feedback, bro! RE: Mix - Colour Me Red - Juninho Ferreira - 23-09-2020 After feedback RE: Mix - Colour Me Red - Roy - 24-09-2020 Yeah, I didn't A/B it with the first mix but it feels more energetic to me. Maybe it's just a fresh listen. It feels a little 'thick' I'm not sure if the reverb (be it artificial or from room mics) on the kick is contributing to that 'cloudiness' in the lower mids/upper lows. Either removing the reverb or eying out some of the lows in the room/overheads might help clear it up. Bringing up some of the electric guitar lines could help catch the ear of the listener. Maybe the whole mix could be brightened a bit overall but just a little. Anyway, all things to keep in mind. |
