I like your mix, man. Very clean. I don't know about the long delay tho b/c I don't get to listen to this genre a lot, just a vague idea how it should sound, but I think it's a bit much and can be more musical. But that is based only on my personal pref. I enjoyed listening to it nevertheless

Yeah I guess the vocal repeats could be a bit much... I just did some cut and paste to another channel.
I felt at the time that there was quite a lot of space in the arrangement between the vocals and that the mix was kind of losing some forward momentum. Maybe I didn't pick the best solution. I thought it worked on some level at the time though I suppose!

I just did a mix of this and immediately thought of adding reverb to two of the "backing vocal" tracks - I think it works.

Quite a powerful mix! Enjoying the instruments very much. The only thing, there are some piercing mid / high frewuencies that I find a bit tiring on the guitars. The vocal repeat works great for me! Vocal sound in the verse is great. The guitar that comes in in the verse seems to mask the vocals a bit too much though. Also in the hook I feel the vocals become smaller andthey sound farther away somehow. I would have preferred to have them bigger and more direct. I have heard this on almost all of the mixes I listened to so far. Maybe that's what it should be like for this genre don't know. Nonetheless I'd prefer to have the vocals spring more forward in the hook. All in all a grat mix though to my ears :-)

I'd forgotten about this one! Thanks for giving it a listen and for the insightful comments. It might be fun to give this one another go sometime.
Yeah there is likely a resonance or two in the top end of the guitars that I missed. I wasn't very good at mixing guitars, but have been working at it since. Interesting observation regarding the hook vocals. I guess it's a combination of the backing vocals that kind of work to blend and pull the vocals back into the track, along with the busier instrumentation that's doing it.
I think the vocal repeats were likely an influence from Underworld - Cowgirl from the dubnobasswithyourheadman album.
