Here's my take on the song. I went for a quite dry mix oppose to some of the ones in here, but I got a live performance vibe from the song so I went with it.

the mix as you stated is dry, too dry and lacking life. use a quick delay to fix that if reverb isn't your thing, gives the same effect as a nice room if done right. the mix though lacks depth and excitement which for a record like this
