Pray for the Rain Mix - AW977 - 29-05-2020 Here is my mix for Pray for the Rain by Nerve 9. Great track. Love the ambience in it. RE: Pray for the Rain Mix - ThomasStevenson - 18-01-2021 Hi AW977 Listening through now: - lead vocal sounds low in the balance - bass a bit high - like the vocal reverb I am hearing - kick drum jumps in level in chorus 1 - intended? It jumped out at me - maybe too extreme a level change - cymbal swells a bit hot - kick jumping up in level at chorus 2 - BVs sound good - just need more lead vocal level - interesting guitar solo approach with panning - I kinda like it - and the delays you are using are great - bridge. guitar too hot vs. lead vocal. - more BV level in chorus 3 needed to help build it up in intensity / arrangement - loving the outro- right up my alley. What kind of delay did you use on it? Thanks for sharing your mix ! Most of my comments are balance related - could be subjective - but I do feel that space needs to me made for the lead vocal. Perhaps a check against the reference mix? Cheers Thomas |
