I tried to take care of some of that plosive lowend stuff happening in the vocals but some of it just has to stay in there I think.
I started the mix with just the vocals and the room mic, I thought that sounded cooler than starting with the direct drum mics or anything like that. Trying to get tighter punchy sounds just didn't mesh with the clean guitars and sparse vocals for me. So once I had this big roomy verb thing going on, I added the rest of the elements to fit that sound.
Then I checked the reference mix and I ended up about opposite of that sound.

I noticed some flutter by the... kick drum?
That's no complaint though, I just noticed it
Otherwise that's, despite dropping with reverb, a good balance of all the stuff in there
Listened to it twice and came to the same results

That might be this sound from the keyboard. There's a really distorted sound in there that sounds like a speaker crapping out from too much sub but I thought it was a cool effect.
