I liked working on this. Elements of digital samples and real instruments always presents a challenge on gluing them and giving them the same space.

This is a pretty good mix....not too bass heavy (intentionally) and I fixed a few timing issues and did some other things to make it more cohesive. A fun mix and a cool tune!!!!

Peace,

Tom

Uploaded another mix, version 5M, which was in response to a helpful comment. Plus, I did some other things to improve the mix and added a bit more low end energy to it.

This is a really interesting song! Loving the mix!

I feel like the xylophone sound still hasn't perfectly found its spot. I think it just has more frequency information on the top end than everything else in the track, so it kinda pierces through the mix.

Love the way the guitars sound!

Phil,

Thanks for the comments. You are right, that xylophone is poking out a bit too much. I think I'll go back into this mix today and try to fix that. I also want to bring out a little more low end overall to the mix.....seems just a bit "bass light" to me after listening to it again.
